The Challenge
For this new Cotswold-style development, the contractor needed to integrate renewable energy in a way that complemented the traditional architectural aesthetic while still delivering outstanding energy efficiency. The brief also demanded:

- Strong EPC performance to meet planning requirements
- Full fire safety compliance for domestic installations
The Solution
Bright Spark Energy worked closely with the main contractor and design team to deliver a discreet, efficient solar PV system across three new-build homes. The Enphase micro-inverter solution was selected for its flexibility, safety, and ability to minimise shading losses.

- 28 All-black solar panels with in-roof mounting kits across four roof faces
- 28 x Enphase IQ8HC Micro-Inverters
- 3 x Enphase IQ Gateways for system management and monitoring
- Real-time performance tracking via the Enphase mobile app
- Infrastructure ready for future battery storage and EV charging
This solution enabled seamless integration with the development’s Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems and contributed toward achieving BREEAM A+ rating.

The installed solar systems significantly reduce the ongoing energy costs across the three properties, generating clean power to offset both electricity use and heating demand.
