Splashing around the Solent
Bright Spark were lucky enough to be invited to be involved in the Little Britain Challenge Cup this year. For over 28 years Little Britain Challenge Cup has been bringing together thousands of property and construction industry professionals through sailing, and it has grown to become one of the top sporting events in the industry calendar.
Participants have helped raise over a million pounds for sailing charities that do extraordinary work for the less fortunate in society. It is a fantastic way to socialise, network, team build and, most importantly, get on the water. Charities include:
- Ellen Macarther Cancer Trust
- Jubilee Sailing Trust
- Cirdan Trust
- British Sailing Team
- 18-51 Trust
Bright Spark Energy were a sponsor of the Think-IT boat, Lancelet II, in the Class 2 IRC cups. Other sponsors included Britannia Events, Helly Hansen, Parkeray, Strive Solutions, Levett Consultancy and Xirrus.
The Think-IT team had a very successful regatta picking up 4 trophies overall including winning the class win in Race 5 (an 18.9 mile epic), Win in the Specialist Contractors Cup and 2nd place in Class 2.
