Goosewell Primary Academy – 30KWp Solar PV Installation
Our in-house Solar PV team have just completed the implementation of a 30KWp Solar PV system at Goosewell Primary Academy on behalf of REAch South Academy Trust. This is part of the Trusts programme to become one of the most sustainable in the South West.
The system at Goosewell Primary Academy was installed alongside an LED lighting upgrade saving over £ 15,000 per annum in electricity bills, maintenance costs and income from FITs subsidies.
The project was completed in three days onsite starting during term time with minimal impact to the running of the Academy.
Some facts and figures on the project:
- Installation of 117 255W Solar Panels and a 30KWp Solis Inverter
- Estimated to generate 28,900 kWhs per annum – approximately 39% of the Academies electricity requirements onsite
- Funded by Less is More Capital Social Enterprise Fund
- Significant reduction in CO2
- Benefit from the FITs subsidisies for the next 20 years
